Public notice of NPS-FM provisions

Southland Regional Council (Environment Southland) gives notice that, in accordance with sections 55(2) and 55(2A) of the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA), the following clauses from the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management 2020 (NPS-FM) have been incorporated into the partially operative Southland Water and Land Plan. The NPS-FM requires the following provisions to be included in a regional plan without using the Schedule 1 process of the RMA.

• Clause 3.22 of the NPS-FM (natural inland wetlands) incorporated as Policy 33A
• Clause 3.24 of the NPS-FM (rivers) incorporated as Policy 28A
