Woldwide Four Ltd and Woldwide Five Ltd

Environment Southland has received an application from Woldwide Four Limited and Woldwide Five Limited for resource consents.
The application (reference APP-20181620 and APP-20181621) is for the following activities at 350 Mayfield Road and 760 Bayswater Road, Bayswater, Otautau:
- A land use consent to expand the Woldwide Four Limited dairy platform by including a portion (63.3ha) of an existing sheep farm into the dairy platform. The additional land comprises Braxton and Tuatapere soils, and is within the Central Plains and Oxidising physiographic zones. Cows and young stock will continue to be wintered on separate support blocks. Overseer nutrient budget modelling shows there will be no change in nutrient losses.
- A land use consent to expand the Woldwide Five Limited dairy platform by including a portion (70ha) of an existing sheep farm into the dairy platform. The additional land is within the Central Plains, Oxidising and Riverine Physiographic Zones. Cows will continue to be wintered on the farm, with the addition of the use of feed pads. Young stock will continue to be grazed on separate support blocks. Overseer nutrient budget modelling shows there will be no change in nutrient losses.
No changes to the existing discharge permits or water permits of either farm are proposed.
