Woldwide One Ltd and Woldwide Two Ltd

Environment Southland has received an application from Woldwide One Limited and Woldwide Two Limited for resource consents.
The application (reference APP-20181619) is for the following activities at 1915 Winton Wreys Bush Road, Otautau and 1200 Hundred Line Road East, Otautau:
- A discharge permit to discharge agricultural effluent, including sludge from winter barns and effluent storage pond to land at the milking platform and at a support block. This discharge includes dairy shed effluent from 1,500 cows, wintering barn effluent and silage pad leachate. Discharge will occur via high rate travelling irrigator and slurry tanker to Braxton, Glenelg, Drummond and Waiau soils within the Central Plains and Oxidising Pysiographic Zones. The sludge will be discharged by slurry tanker at 5 mm depth per application.
- A water permit to abstract up to a total of 180 cubic metres (m3) of groundwater per day (about 58,896m3 per year) from the Waimatuku Groundwater Zone for up to 1,500 cows from three bores. Under the Regional Water Plan abstraction allocation is currently 10.2% and under the proposed Southland Water and Land Plan (decision version 2018) abstraction allocation is at 8%.
- A land use consent to expand the farms by increasing cow numbers by 160. The expansion will occur over Central Plains and Oxidising Physiographic Zones.
