RMA Application - Southland District Council

Environment Southland has received an application from Southland District Council for a resource consent.

The application (reference APP-20233188) is for the following activities at 3 Gap Road West, Winton:

• to discharge an average of 1,300 m3/day of treated wastewater from the Winton Wastewater Treatment Plant into the Winton Stream.

This is an existing discharge. Southland District Council is seeking a five year consent to continue the activity in the interim period while investigations, consenting and construction are undertaken to upgrade and convert the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant to a land-based disposal system.
