New website goes live
Environment Southland's website has had a makeover - mobile capability and added online services mean it is now much easier to use, and there is greater opportunity for doing business online.
New website features include a document library, housing all the council's online publications, a do-it-online' panel with quick links to the most popular online topics and tasks, and a social media plugin to see the discussions on the Council's Facebook page.
The fully mobile design provides a clear and uncluttered way of navigating around the site, whether you're browsing while out and about, or at home. There's a new property search tool, giving you access to publicly available rates and property information.
There's also a dedicated site for the Council's Water and Land 2020 & Beyond project, giving you the latest news, reports and events for the project.
The mobile capability extends to the mapping service, Beacon, and to the new environmental monitoring data application. This app puts our environmental monitoring data (including river levels, flow and rainfall to name a few) into a map form making the data more visual. Users can still access the traditional data view and graphs from this app.

If you experience technical issues with the website at any stage, please let us know via our feedback form.
