Biodiversity Southland
What does the forum do?
The forum has three main roles:
- Communicate and collaborate
- Plan and advise
- Innovate
The forum meets several times a year to discuss regional biodiversity initiatives and issues.
Current projects
Biodiversity Southland is currently developing a Southland Biodiversity Strategy. The strategy will look to the future to ensure Southland's indigenous biodiversity is protected and enhanced for now and in the future. It will achieve this by outlining an agreed vision, priorities and desired outcomes for biodiversity in Southland, as well as example actions that can be achieved by working together.
