Public notice is hereby given pursuant to S.95A Resource Management Act 1991 that the following application for resource consent has been received by Environment Southland.
The application [reference APP-20191128] is for the following resource consents to authorise proposed activities at 11 McConachie Road, Winton.
Discharge Permit to discharge agricultural effluent to land from up to 1250 cows via low rate pod system with a maximum application rate of 10 mm/hr, a travelling irrigator with a maximum depth of 8 mm per application and a total depth of 25 mm annually, a slurry tanker at a maximum depth of 5 mm per application, and an umbilical system with a maximum depth of 10mm per application.
Land Use Consent to use land for a farming activity including combining two existing dairy platforms and to increase the land area of the existing dairy platforms by 7 ha.
Land Use Consent to use land for a feed pad for up to 750 cows, a herd home for up to 340 cows and to use land for a calving pad for up to 300 cows.
Land Use Consent to use land for the maintenance and use of existing effluent storage facilities and treatment facilities.
Water Permit to take and use up to 47,366 cubic metres per year of groundwater from a two bores in the Lower Oreti Groundwater Management Zone and the Makarewa Groundwater Management Zone for stock drinking water and dairy purposes.

Any person may make a submission on the application, but a person who is a trade competitor of the applicant may do so only if that person is directly affected by an effect of the activity to which the application relates that:
(a) adversely affects the environment; and
(b) does not relate to trade competition or the effects of trade competition.
